Ike Moody Blotter Art

Blotter Art by artist Ike Moody available here at blotterart.io

As the son of a preacher, Ike grew up knowing the rhythm of sermons and the weight of unspoken truths.

He didnt take to the pulpit , be he found his own kind of ministry- In lines and shadows, in portraits drawn on scraps of whatever paper was around

A decade in maximum security prison turned drawing from pastime to lifeline. Art became his shield, his voice, his way of being seen. If someone sat still long enough, he sketched them. Somewhere between lockdowns and lights out, he started sketching himself too- uncovering layers with every line.

Since release Ike has worn a lot of hats- traveler, hustler, fringe philosopher, recovering addict; but art has always been the throughline. The one thing hes never dropped. His work is a kind of soul cartography- mapping the lives of people most others rush past. Ike draws the forgotten, the fierce, the street saints and night walkers . He sees what others refuse to look at. His tools are whatevers on hand, ink pens, crayons, scraps of prison letters- and his portraits catch something unspoken, the flicker behind the eyes.

This is his preaching now.

The results are raw and unfiltered , part gospel, part graffiti; all heart. This limited run blotter print series leads up to a book release anticipated in the fall 2026. Each piece holds a chapter of a long, crooked road toward redemption. If you're holding one, you're holding more than a print- you're holding a piece of the story. And if you hang it on your wall, it might just start telling you one of your own.
